We are looking for Payments Architect for our client in Jersey City, NJ Job Title: Payments Architect Job Location: Jersey City, NJ Job Type: Contract Job Description: Pay Range: $75hr - $80hr Partner with global business heads, operations and compliance teams to ensure architectural alignment with strategic objectives. Collaborate with vendors, fintech partners and external regulators to support payments innovation.

• Strong knowledge of domestic and cross-border payments, ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTP, SEPA and Fedwire.
• Experience with card processing, merchant acquiring, wallets and tokenization.
• Proficiency in API-first design, microservices and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of blockchain, distributed ledger technologies and digital currency frameworks.
• Proven track record in architecting enterprise-grade payment platforms.
• Ability to lead distributed engineering teams and mentor solution architects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

• Over 18 years of IT experience, including extensive work in the payments domain.
• Hands-on experience architecting large-scale payment platforms at financial institutions.
• Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture or cloud technologies are preferred.
