The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med Surg Neuro unit provides skilled nursing care to patients. This position requires experience in PICC line management and starting IVs. The RN will work weekends only, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, on the day shift. The role involves floating within scope to meet facility needs and the possibility of a block schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Med Surg Neuro unit.
- Perform patient assessments and implement treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient response.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage PICC lines and initiate IVs.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification.
- NIH certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Experience with PICC line management.
- Experience with starting IVs.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Previous Charge Experience.
- Cerner experience.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend only position (Fri/Sat/Sun).
- Will float as needed within scope.
- RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without pay.
- Level I trauma center.
- Magnet hospital/facility.
Scheduling:
- Days shift, 0645 start time.
- Weekends only (Fri/Sat/Sun).
- Open to accommodating block schedules; connect with manager to discuss schedule requests.
