What You'll Actually Be Doing:
- Setting up and maintaining project data in financial management software
- Ensure that invoicing meets contract terms by coordinating with project managers for government projects
- Detective work: reviewing expenses, catching coding errors, making sure everything bills properly
- Problem-solving billing questions with clients and internal teams
- Managing contracts, budgets, certificates of insurance, and all those fun government forms
- Compiling government reports with your strong data mining and research skills
The Perfect Candidate:
- Detail-oriented but not obsessive
- Project accounting wizard with organizational superpowers
- Can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball
- Independent worker who knows when to ask for backup
- Government contract and architecture, engineering, construction firm experience is a huge plus
- Accounting degree preferred, but relevant experience considered
