This highly respected Southern California medical center is seeking a Perioperative Nurse Manager to guide a talented surgical services team in a state-of-the-art operating environment. The Operating Room RN Manager will join a mission-driven hospital that is Magnet recognized and home to a Level I Trauma Center. This medical center is known for delivering care to a diverse patient population and is equipped with cutting-edge technology to support advanced surgical techniques.
Reporting directly to Surgical Services Nurse Director, the Perioperative Nurse Manager will oversee a dedicated team of CNOR certified RNs and surgical staff while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other department leaders. This role will play a key part in ensuring seamless operations across the surgical services department.
The Perioperative Nurse Manager will oversee 16 operating suites supported by approximately 53 employees. The department handles a high volume of cases each year, covering specialties such as general surgery, ENT, GYN, robotics, bariatrics, plastics, orthopedics, and gender-affirming procedures. The culture of the unit is collaborative and professional, supported by excellent physicians and highly skilled surgical techs.
The Operating Room RN Manager will provide strong clinical and administrative leadership, including mentoring staff, supporting professional growth, and maintaining top clinical standards. The role also carries responsibilities in budgeting, staffing, and operational excellence to ensure the highest quality outcomes for patients.
