AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Lead in the development of Claim Reports that effectively support claim performance and identify opportunities. Requires superior understanding of Claim organizational structures, data, spreadsheeting, and financial data. Ability to interact with external TPA data managers, as well as all AIPSO Insurance Operations (AIO) departments, Information Technology, Actuarial, Data and Finance.
- Design and implement spreadsheet tool, Power BI or other analytical software that is useable for claims examiners to identify files requiring oversight, as well as set and maintain rolling monthly diaries to manage files.
- Manage end-to-end Department Plans(s), from implementation, including setting project timelines and the means to regularly review (using various Project management tools).
- Provide monthly reporting to Senior Management that includes working with Claims Counsel and Claims Director regarding project planning and implementation challenges.
- Assist in the creating and documenting key processes and procedures. In conjunction with PMO to locate and build the appropriate project management tools for various Department projects. Establish project timeliness and the means to regularly review and document progress.
- Lead in the compliance effort in documenting processes and assuring department has a compliance focus in creating and retaining any documentation. Support the Senior Claims Counsel and Compliance Officer in managing a program to assure that the TPA is handling claims consistent with fair claims practices.
Education Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university with supplementary insurance education preferred. CPCU or other insurance designations and/or additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Demonstrated commitment to on-going insurance education.
Experience 5 or more years in Claims Operations, including (paralegal/adjuster/risk management/insurance company operations) as well as understanding of legal operations with project management experience. Previous experience with residual market automobile insurance plan rules and regulations preferred.
Skills & Knowledge - Knowledge of key software; both data analytical tools and project management software.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Proven ability to create, coordinate and manage multiple projects under pressing deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or individuals. Concisely convey project objectives to legal professionals and business leaders.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze complex issues, find the root cause of the problem, and consider a wide range of alternatives before acting.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the Insurance industry; claims and the legal and regulatory insurance environment.
Salary Range : $82,000 – $131,000 Annual . A ctual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; internal equity and other conditions of employment.
