We are seeking a B illing Specialist to help oversee our revenue cycle and support the Billing Director in ensuring accurate claims processing, timely collections, and compliance across multiple service lines.

Billing Specialist
Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Billing: Execute daily billing operations, including accurate change entry, payment posting, and electronic claims submission.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Proactively manage outstanding balances by monitoring aging reports and following up on unpaid claims.
• Denial Resolution: Identify reasons for claim denials, gather necessary information, and submit timely appeals to maximize collection rates.
• Reporting: Track individual performance metrics such as clean claim rates and daily production goals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and stay updated on evolving payer policies.
• Data Integrity: Ensure patient demographics and insurance information are updated and verified for accuracy.  

Qualifications
Required:

• Experience:  Minimum of 1 year experience of hands-on medical billing experience.
• Systems:  Prior experience using EHR software, preference eClinicalWorks.
• Skills:  Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to navigate payer portals.
• Attributes:  Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (based upon experience)
• Benefits:  Health (100% paid), dental, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and 401K with company match.

Work Environment

• Schedule:  Monday - Friday,  In-office (no remote available) 8 am - 5 pm
• Physical Requirements:  Regular computer use and occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
